What makes Metadata Sherpa different

Plenty of tools generate keywords. Here's a closer look at what Metadata Sherpa actually does for stock video and photo contributors.

Specific keywords, not invented phrases

Keywords describe what's actually in your frame — "Computer Keyboard", "Adhesive Note", "Blazer - Jacket", "Over The Shoulder View" — written as established stock vocabulary terms (for Getty Images and iStock, in Getty Images' own term forms), not invented phrases. No padding to hit a round number, and no guessed age, gender, or ethnicity keywords: those come from your model release, so guessing them only adds errors.

You choose the poster frame

Most keywording tools either don't touch video thumbnails at all, or auto-pick one for you. Here, every clip gets a filmstrip of real candidate frames pulled from the footage, plus ±1-second nudging to land on the exact frame you want. The image buyers see when browsing your portfolio is your call, never a guess.

Shot framing, detected automatically

Wide, medium, close-up, over-the-shoulder, establishing — video editors specifically search stock libraries by these terms. Metadata Sherpa detects the shot's actual composition straight from the frame, leads the generated title with it (e.g. "Medium Shot Of..."), and adds it as a keyword — with zero extra input from you.
