Quick start

Three steps from your files to submission-ready metadata for the agency you submit to.

  1. Sign in. Enter your email — you'll get a one-time magic link (and a backup numeric code) by email, no password needed. New accounts start with 25 free credits to try the tool before buying more.
  2. Choose where you're submitting, then add your files. Pick Getty Images / iStock, Adobe Stock, or Shutterstock before you generate (it locks once you do, since each agency has its own rules). Drop your files in and fill in any shoot details you want, like a theme. Getty Images also takes a date and location.Getty Images video: if you want to choose poster frames, open a batch in Getty Images ESP with your clips uploaded first, and wait until every thumbnail has finished generating before you apply the CSV.
  3. Generate and export. Click "Generate metadata for all," review and edit the results, then export the CSV. What happens next depends on the agency:
    • Getty Images / iStock: apply the CSV to your batch in ESP the normal way. If your batch has both video and photos you'll get two files, one for each batch type. ESP may show a few keywords in red, which are terms it doesn't recognize; remove them, or leave them in, since Getty Images keeps them as candidate terms.
    • Adobe Stock: one CSV for photos and video. Upload your files first, then use Upload CSV in the Contributor Portal. The CSV can't set everything, so mark identifiable people or property and attach releases in the portal.
    • Shutterstock: upload your files first, then use Upload CSV on the portal's Images tab for the photo file and on its Videos tab for the video file. The description is Shutterstock's only title. If the side panel looks unchanged after an import, click another file and back.
    If your browser asks about multiple downloads, allow them.

Note: Chrome can't preview ProRes-encoded video files. If your clips are ProRes, use Safari instead — everything else (JPG/PNG stills, H.264/MP4 video) works fine in either browser.

Note: your generated titles and keywords are saved in this browser for 7 days, so if you refresh or close the tab you'll be offered a chance to resume. Your original files aren't saved, only the results, and "Clear all" removes the saved batch. It's still best to export your CSV before you leave, since the saved batch lives only on this device.
